GHS Class of 1992

Leah participated in soccer, basketball, and volleyball during her time at Grandview Senior High School. In soccer, Leah was named to the first team all-conference, all-district, and all-state teams. Leah is the GHS school record holder with 163 career goals, 83 goals more than the next girl with 54 goals scored in a season. Leah still holds the state career record for goals per game with 2.36

In basketball, she garnered first team all-conference and all-district honors. Leah held the record at one time for 3 point shooting and scored over 1,000 points in her career. In volleyball, she played varsity and was all-conference. During her high school career, she served as the president of Student Council, was on the honor roll and graduated in the top three of her class.

Leah continued her soccer career at Park University. She appears in the NAIA record book several times including the NAIA women's record for single game points with 21 (10 goals and 1 assist). She still is listed second in the nation with total points which is combined goals and assists. She is fifth in the nation in career goals with 119 and eighth in the nation in assists with 57. Leah was named a three time NAIA All-American earning first team honors her senior year. Leah led Park to the National Championship game her sophomore year. She has a seat at Park's stadium in her honor. In 2015, Leah was named to the Park University Athletics Wall of Honor.

Leah is the managing partner at Longhorn Steakhouse in Belton and spends many hours of community service with special needs kids and athletics. Leah's favorite athletic memories at GHS were her friendships made, scoring 10 goals in one game and scoring 1,000 points in basketball.
